Tread Pattern & Technical Specs

The Potenza S001 is a Max Performance Summer tire from Bridgestone that is created for high-performance sports cars, coupes, and sedans.

The Potenza S001 is a summer tire that has both low rolling resistance and maximum sports performance on dry and wet surfaces. However, they are not intended to be used in any freezing temperatures, on ice and snow conditions.

The Potenza S001 sports an asymmetric design that improves dry road steering response, high-speed stability, and cornering precision by including a big outboard shoulder, interlocking tread blocks, and a central circumferential rib.

The deeply inset intermediate ribs and high-angle lateral grooves in the outer ribs pump water into the wide circumferential grooves to assist resist hydroplaning.

The internal structure of the tire is made up of a lightweight belt package that consists of two steel belts assisted by a spirally wrapped aramid/nylon cord reinforcement that reduces rolling resistance, improves ride quality, and ensures high-speed durability.

To ensure comfort during driving and controllability in turns, the stiffness of the vertical sidewall is regulated by active rubber inserts near the sides and ensures linear braking.
