Tread Pattern & Technical Specs

For sports automobiles, sporty coupes, and performance sedans, Bridgestone developed the Blizzak LM-32 performance winter/snow tire. The Blizzak LM-32 tires were initially produced in sizes for the four-door Aston Martin Rapide sports cars, but they are now offered in a variety of sizes to assist drivers to retain the sporty appearance and wintertime mobility of their vehicles by providing traction on cold, dry, wet, and snow-covered roads.

Unique polymer technology is incorporated into the tread compound of the Blizzak LM-32 tires to improve traction in cold conditions. This material is sculpted into a directional pattern to provide solid grip and braking traction in cold weather conditions while also providing hydroplaning resistance on wet and slush-covered surfaces.

Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32 Tread Pattern

While stepped independent tread blocks using Lamellen edge effect sipes increase the amount of biting edges to boost grip in snow and on ice, rounded shoulders improve dry and wet road handling. This enables the H-, V-, or W-speed rated Blizzak LM-32 tires to combine winter traction with high-performance features.

The three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) logo and severe snow service standards are both present on Blizzak LM-32 winter tires.

The Blizzak LM-32 tread grooves have snow platform indicators (the equivalent of snow wear bars) etched into them to notify the driver when their capacity to keep traction in deep snow and ice will be reduced as a result of the tire’s treadwear.

Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32 outperforms 96% of tires in the Performance Winter / Snow category.
